Demu! A collection of classic PC games...

Demu Collection 10287 games

The Demu collection consists primarily of PC demos, freeware, and shareware. These files are the original releases which will require intermediate to advanced knowledge to install and run on modern operating systems.

Most of the DOS and early Windows software can be played directly in your browser.

MAGS Competition Games 0 games

MAGS is a monthly contest to create a game using Adventure Game Studio (AGS) on a given theme. The theme is usually chosen by the previous month's winner. The winner is chosen by an online vote in the Adventure Game Studio community. MAGS has been running since 2001, and over the years hundreds of games have been created for it.

Reality-on-the-Norm 123 games

Official site: http://realityonthenorm.info

An openly-collaborative series of freeware games based around a fictional town called Reality-on-the-Norm. An offshoot project of the Adventure Game Studio community, almost all are point-and-click adventure games. The first RON game was Lunchtime of the Damned, released in early 2001 by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. The original RON website was hosted at reality.adventuredeveloper.com, before moving to ron.the-underdogs.org, which changed to ron.the-underdogs.info, and finally got its own domain http://realityonthenorm.info in 2009, which remains the project's home as of January 2015.

1001 Games 224 games

Games found in this collection are from the book 1001 Games to Play Before You Die.  Naturally the demo may not be a perfect representation of the full game - and why it was included in the book - but it's still fun to browse through.

Clones and remakes are used in place of the original, when the original is not available on the PC (such as Pong or Tetris) .  When I choose a remake I try to find ones which you can play online.  The remakes are often very different from the original game.

Game Crates 13 games

What is a game crate?  DEMU game crates are collections of extras (add-on levels/maps, patches, trainers, save games, etc.) for specific game titles.  These are unique bundles created by me which in the future will fully catalog all of the extra files which were made for these games.

These collections are in their infancy and are all currently v1.0.  As time goes on the files will be sorted and fully documented in included manifests.  However, in these versions they are often just random grab bags of the files (although most of them should have a file_id.diz in the original zip file).

GOG Games 455 games

All of the games in this collection are available to purchase from GOG.  The versions available for purchase have been updated to work on modern operating systems.
